In its continued efforts to make the office environments and other public places safe and free from the corona Virus pandemic, the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has continued to install the NASENI COVID-19 Disinfectant sprayer in Public Institutions. Yesterday in Abuja, NASENI mounted at the main entrance of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) headquarters, Abuja its disinfectant Sprayer tunnel “n” Shape.
The Executive Vice Chairman/CE of NASENI, Engr. The COVID-19 Disinfectant Sprayer was developed by NASENI’s engineers to sanitize persons against the virus.
A fortnight ago the Agency installed a similar disinfectant sprayer at the headquarters office of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Abuja. At the ease of the COVID-19 lockdown, the need to keep public places safe from becoming breeding grounds for the virus became imperative as many schools, public places are expected resume to receive visitors.
The FIRS is one of such public institutions which receive daily large number of visitors: customers, those filing for tax clearance, and other sundry activities. The Executive Chairman of FIRS, Mr.Muhammad Mamman Nami who tested the NASENI COVID-19 device at the FIRS premises said that the FIRS was determined to keep visitors and staff safe while at work or within the premises of the service and that was why the management ordered for the installation of the device.
The Chairman FIRS walked through the device, accompanied by other management staff while affirming that he believed the premises of FIRS was now safe against the corona virus with the installation of the NASENI Disinfectant device.
NASENI’s innovation of the device was its own contribution to control the virus from further spread in public places, schools, hospitals, airport and wherever large numbers of persons converge for business.
According to Professor Haruna, “Nigeria Engineers alone produced the NASENI COVID-19 sprayers and the materials were 100 percent local content”. He said this feat was evidence that Nigeria and Nigerians can tackle the socio-economic problems bedeviling the nation with the right support.
“Ask us first for any engineering solution is the slogan of our Agency”. “We can produce all the equipment and machines that the nation need in collaboration with others to develop the Nigeria economy if given the right support and funding” He explained.
