The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has unveiled an Inter-Agency Innovation Competition prize pool of ₦140 million; a new initiative aimed at inspiring creativity and socio-economic problem-solving across Nigeria’s public service.
The Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, of NASENI, Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, who was represented by the Director of Manufacturing Services, NASENI HQ, Engr. Dr. Olayode Adesola Olasupo made this announcement in Yola at the opening ceremony of the on-going 2025 Federal Public Service Games (FEPSGA).
He noted that the Agency was excited to launch the innovation challenge prize pool of N140 million at the game which according to him, brought together public servants from all parts of the country.
The NASENI Boss, however, pointed out that “the competition is a practical way of encouraging fresh ideas and innovations that can make government work better for Nigerians and that with the new innovation challenge, NASENI hopes to spark brilliant ideas across the public sector “ideas that can strengthen governance, improve service delivery, and showcase the creativity that exists within Nigeria’s workforce.”
He explained that the submissions for the competition will officially open on 12th December, 2025. Therefore he encouraged every civil and public servant, saying regardless of cadre or agency, they are welcomed to participate. He also applauded FEPSGA for consistently promoting unity, fitness, teamwork, and positive workplace culture for more than 40 years. He, therefore, stressed that the Agency celebrates every public servant participating in FEPSGA 2025 while inviting all innovators to take part in the competition.
